Depending on the amount of bandwidth you have, your present broadband connection may very well support 6 cameras. Should you need additional bandwidth, contact your ISP for an upgrade Will my internet connection be affected by having cameras on it? The camera system uses the upload side of your bandwidth. Since the majority of end-users are utilizing the download side (surfing the web, downloading files, etc) you should not notice any slowdown My employer won't allow me to install Active X. Is there a "work around"? Active X is a required component today. We are in the final stage of a software update which will no longer require Active X to be installed Will cameras transmit over a cellular broadband? Yes. Can I view live and recorded video on my mobile phone, PDA, etc? Yes. This is dependent on the type of device and the service plan you have with your carrier Do I need a static IP address? The service can provide safe, secure back-up for all or some of the cameras being recorded on the DVR, so should something happen to the DVR (fire, flood, theft or failure) you'll have the video you need stored offsite. It will also immediately upgrade your analog DVR to a Digital system What kind of resolution is available? Small (160 x 120), Medium (320 x 240), and Large Resolution (640 x 480) are presently available. Megapixel (1280 x 960) will be available in January 2010.
